Job summary

North American Construction Group is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team at the Kearl mining site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Operators will work with D9-D11 dozers in a remote camp environment, supporting mining operations and ensuring safety standards are met.

This role offers camp accommodations, paid flights to Edmonton or Calgary, weekly pay, and union benefits with IUOE Local 955.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years operating D9-D11 dozers at mining sites.
• At least 1 year working with mining shovels.
• Experience on muskeg or soft ground is required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment tests.

Operators will work with D9-D11 dozers in a remote camp environment, supporting mining operations and ensuring safety standards are met. What You’ll Need

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating D9-D11 sized dozers
• At least 1 year working with mining shovels
• Experience operating on muskeg/soft ground
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize safety
• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education is an asset
• Valid CSO Certification
• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness or Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (Kearl only)
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing: breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness-to-work, audiometric, vision, and criminal record check
