Nasittuq Corporation seeks Heavy Equipment Operators to join the North Warning System in Sanirajak, Nunavut. This remote Arctic role features a 6 weeks on/6 weeks off rotation, operating and maintaining a range of heavy equipment while ensuring safety and site readiness.

The ideal candidate has a valid licence with air brake endorsements, backing training, and experience in remote-site operations. Accommodations, meals, insurance, and travel are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed heavy equipment operator with Air Brake Endorsement or valid Class 3 licence with Air Brake.
• Completion of Safe Backing training or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction/maintenance/mining or remote-site environments.
• Experience with loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks and snow removal equipment.
• Ability to work in remote Arctic environments and travel between sites.

Heavy Equipment Operators - North Warning System - 6/6 Rotation - Up to $46.44/hr - Fly-In & Fly-Out + Accommodations Provided - Sanirajak, NU

Nasittuq is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team supporting the North Warning System in Sanirajak, Nunavut. This is a unique opportunity to work in remote Arctic locations on a rotational schedule, operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment. The ideal candidates are experienced operators with strong safety awareness, adaptability to challenging environments, and a commitment to supporting critical infrastructure in Canada’s North.

What You’ll Need

• Licensed Heavy Equipment Operator with Air Brake Endorsement (DZ Licence), or valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Certification
• Completion of Safe Backing training or ability to obtain certification
• Valid driver’s licence with satisfactory driving record
• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction, road maintenance, mining, industrial, municipal, airport, or remote-site environments
• Experience with loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks, forklifts, snow removal equipment, and similar machinery
• Experience with snow clearing and winter road maintenance
• Experience towing trailers and operating vehicles with attached equipment
• Ability to work in remote, industrial, or Arctic environments
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, workplace safety, and inspection procedures
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in remote Arctic environments while wearing PPE
• Ability to travel to adjacent sites and support operations across multiple locations
• Employment conditional upon obtaining and maintaining Enhanced Reliability or Secret Level Security Clearance
