The role requires at least one year of experience, a valid Class 5 licence, and the ability to work outdoors year-round. NSC offers rotating schedules (7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off) with a live-out allowance to support local staff.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of equipment, including dozers, wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, rock trucks, and aerial work platforms (AWP). Operators also support general yard and facility upkeep to maintain smooth daily operations. This position is additionally responsible for performing preventative maintenance during operation downtime and supporting labour duties as required.
