Job description

John Ross & Sons Ltd. is the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada and committed to exceeding our customer's expectations.

We are currently seeking a safety-minded Heavy Excavator Operator to join our team in Goodwood! Previous experience (3 years preferred).

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7am - 5:00pm and alternating Saturdays from 7am to 12pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operate various pieces of equipment, primarily excavators and loaders
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, refill equipment tanks
  • Conduct pre-operational checks
  • Secure special attachments
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment
  • Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager
  • Other duties as assigned
