Job summary

Empire Paving Ltd in Ontario is seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair fleet trucks at multiple site locations.

You will troubleshoot faults, diagnose issues with testing equipment, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications during each service cycle. The position requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience and is strictly on site.

On-site work includes physical labor and operating at various work sites with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Two years to less than three years of experience in a related role.
• On-site work at multiple locations in Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks
• Service attachments and working tools
• Verify and repair emission control systems
• Perform other routine maintenance
