Job description

Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing regular maintenance and repairs on the company's machinery as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Duties include washing units upon arrival.
2. Diagnose and perform repairs on heavy equipment such as Ditch Witch, Vermeer, Bobcat, Kubota, Volvo, etc. Equipment includes but is not limited to Mini Excavators, Skid Steers, Trenchers, Hydro Vacs, Drill/Boring Rigs, Trailers, Telehandlers, Tow Vehicles.
3. Complete make-ready for the following morning, perform preventative maintenance as required, and carry out major repairs as needed.
4. Perform trial runs of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.
5. Communicate findings and recommendations to applicable team members.
6. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40-hour week, hours 7am - 3pm. Based out of Oceanside and Escondido.

Education/Training:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
• CDL A.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Skills:

• Self-motivated, team player who enjoys a variety of tasks.
• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment/automotive mechanical repairs.
• Experience working on drills, bucket trucks, and OSP construction equipment.
• Proficient in handling cylinders, pumps, motor and valve components, and advanced hydraulic systems.
• Requires driving between job sites; valid Driver's License required.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00/hr
