Job summary

Truckz & Binzz in Guelph, ON is seeking a full-time Heavy Duty Truck Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. Note this is not a 310T diesel mechanic position; we focus on truck-mounted bodies, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.

You will perform scheduled body maintenance, hydraulic repairs, troubleshoot electronics, complete repairs, and document findings.

Qualifications

• Inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment including hydraulics and electrical/electronic systems.
• Note this is not a 310T diesel mechanic position; focus is on truck-mounted bodies.
• Preference given to candidates with Millwright certification or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled vehicle body maintenance and hydraulic repairs/cylinder replacement.
• Troubleshoot electronics issues and complete equipment repairs to safety standards.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to the service team; maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Truckz & Binzz, established in 2013, is a trusted Parts, Sales, and Service dealer for Heil and Durabac, and several other waste industy related equipment manufacturers, serving customers across Ontario and Canada from our convenient new 18,000 square foot modern Guelph location near the 401 and Highway 6.

We operate up to 8 service bays staffed by factory-trained technicians dedicated to keeping our customer’s waste equipment trucks and bodies safely and efficiently on the road. Truckz & Binzz specializes in MOL pinch points, bike guard safety systems, auto tarp systems, truck mounted weigh scales, as well as 360 degree camera/in cab monitoring systems, body refurbishment, swaps, and container repairs to name a few.

With a commitment to handling projects of all sizes, our team focuses on quality workmanship, reliable service, and long‑term customer relationships. Our customers include all the major North American waste haulers and private family waste hauling companies throughout Ontario.

Role Description

This full-time, on‑site Heavy Duty Truck Technician role is based in Guelph, ON. The technician will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy‑duty trucks and related equipment, including hydraulics, electrical/ electronic systems, and mechanical components. Note this is not a 310T diesel mechanic position , as we do not repair truck chassis - only truck mounted waste vehicle bodies. We handle both new truck delivery/PDI/options customization installation , as well as used waste vehicle repair.

Daily tasks include performing scheduled vehicle body maintenance, hydraulic repairs/cylinder replacement , troubleshooting electronics issues, completing equipment repairs, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

The role also involves documenting work performed, communicating findings and recommendations to the service team, and collaborating with other technicians to meet customer timelines. The technician is expected to maintain a clean, organized workspace and support continuous improvement of shop. You will provide your own basic tools.

Preference is given to those candidates that are a certified Millwright or are working towards their Millwright certifications. Being mechanically inclined and willing to learn are essential. There will be some local travel involved and sometimes overnight stays when we work at customer locations.
