Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking a Parts Clerk in Alida, Saskatchewan to identify, catalogue and manage parts, while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Parts Ticket or 1–2 years of Heavy Duty Parts or Warehousing experience, excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Parts Ticket or 1–2 years Heavy Duty Parts or Warehousing experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts, catalogs, distributors and dealers.
• High degree of organization with the ability to manage paperwork efficiently.
• Self-starter, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent and resourceful; able to work under minimal supervision and with all levels.
• Willing to learn new things and adapt to change.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with computers and supporting programs (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license and ability to commute.

Responsibilities

• Identify and catalogue parts and assemblies.
• Cycle counting as per schedule.
• Order, receive, inspect, sort, and ship parts.
• Generate quotes and complete orders.
• Locate parts in inventory or order from approved suppliers.
• Keep workstation and parts department clean and organized.
• Complete paperwork promptly.
• Monitor parts pricing and suggest alternatives based on cost or availability.
• Research required parts and verify specifications.
• Unload and load delivery trucks using a forklift.
• Process core and warranty items.
• Provide customer service and resolve conflicts professionally.

Candidate Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identifying and cataloguing parts & assemblies
• Cycle counting as per schedule
• Ordering, receiving, inspecting, sorting, and shipping parts
• Generating quotes and completing orders
• Look up and locate parts in inventory or order parts from approved suppliers
• Keep the workstation, as well as the parts department, clean and organized to maintain a professional image to customer
• Complete paperwork on timely basis
• Monitor parts pricing; recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
• Thorough understanding and identifying of all parts required and ability to research required parts
• Unload and load delivery trucks using a Forklift
• Core and warranty processing
• Ability to be customer service focused and to resolve conflicts in an inclusive, transparent, and calm manner.
