Job summary

Southern Industrial & Truck Ltd. is seeking a Rig Mechanic to diagnose and repair drilling and service rig equipment in the field, with some shop work as needed.

The role requires troubleshooting, parts ordering, and ensuring repairs are safe and compliant; a valid passport may be required for travel. First Aid, CPR, and H2S are necessary, along with a valid driver’s license. Industry experience is preferred and competitive wages with benefits are offered.

Southern Industrial & Truck is looking for a highly motivated Rig Mechanic. This individual must be able to troubleshoot, inspect & diagnose Drilling & Service Rig equipment, gensets as well be capable of Truck & Trailer repairs if needed. You must be able to determine the extent of repair as well as adjust repair and or replace defective parts; then test repaired equipment for proper performance. The majority of the work will be field service work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete repairs on all assigned equipment.
• Order parts required to complete repairs.
• Work with other Oilfield Personnel.
• Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.
• Use computer to input all time sheets, materials, equipment. information for purchase orders.
• Perform work mainly in oil field and sometimes in shop.
• Act in a professional manner in order to project a positive company image.
• Assist with others from time to time as required.
• Must have First Aid, CPR & H2S.
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Must have a valid passport.
