Job summary

Southern Industrial & Truck Ltd. in Weyburn, SK is seeking a highly motivated Rig Mechanic to troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose drilling and service rig equipment, gensets, and truck/trailer repairs as needed. The role is primarily field service.

You will determine repair extent, adjust or replace defective parts, test equipment, and work with oilfield personnel while maintaining safety standards. Must have First Aid, CPR, H2S, a valid driver's license, and a valid passport.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing drilling and service rig equipment.
• Experience with gensets and truck/trailer repairs.
• Ability to perform field service work with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete repairs on all assigned equipment (rigs, gensets, trucks).
• Order parts required to complete repairs.
• Collaborate with other oilfield personnel to ensure timely fixes.
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.
• Enter time sheets, materials, and equipment information for purchase orders.
• Perform work mainly in oil field and sometimes in shop.
• Maintain professional conduct to project a positive company image.
• Assist others from time to time as required.

This individual must be able to troubleshoot, inspect & diagnose Drilling & Service Rig equipment, gensets as well be capable of Truck & Trailer repairs if needed. You must be able to determine the extent of repair as well as adjust repair and or replace defective parts; then test repaired equipment for proper performance. The majority of the work will be field service work.
