British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) invites applications for three regular, full-time Faculty roles in the Heavy Equipment Group on Annacis Island, Delta. The positions involve delivering apprenticeship and foundation program training and coordinating with the School of Transportation.

Applicants should have a Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics, a strong teaching aptitude, and proven leadership and organizational skills. BCIT offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BC Trades Qualification with Inter-Provincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics.
• BC Certificate of Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Mechanics.
• Experience in heavy duty or off-road equipment repair and maintenance.
• Minimum of five years’ journeyperson industry experience; teaching in a post-secondary setting an asset.

Responsibilities

• Teach provincial curriculum for heavy equipment courses.
• Prepare and present lectures, demonstrations, and assessments.
• Collaborate with heavy equipment team and Department Head.
