A leading company in Alberta is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to handle repairs and maintenance of equipment. The position offers a full-time permanent role with a wage of $40 per hour, along with benefits after 3 months and opportunities for professional progress. The candidate should have three or more years of experience and relevant certifications, with the ability to work independently.
Job duties :
Complete repairs on a equipment based on priority sequence from the Fleet Manager.
Follow up on repair requisitions from various sites and schedule maintenance / repairs needed accordingly.
Follow preventative maintenance requirements as per equipment manual.
Verify that maintenance and repairs are in accordance with the Commercial Vehicle Manual for the company.
Follow CVIP requirements for all vehicles.
Solve problems from troubleshooting to diagnosis to repair.
Develop work scopes and schedules for equipment to be repaired.
Track and document all repairs and costs.
Order parts for servicing, complete reports and fill out work orders.
Maintain parts inventory.
Keep the shop is good and safe working order and conduct regular inspections.
Manage other shop personnel as needed.
Participate in and follow all requirements of the company and client HSE programs.
Terms of employment :
Skills / Requirements :
3+ years experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic / Technician.
Possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities.
Capable of working with minimal supervision.
Experience with Ditch Witch HDD drills is an asset.
Experience with Hydrovacs is an asset.
Be proficient in English, both verbally and written.
Have a valid Class 5 drivers license (or Class 3 or Class 1).
CSTS 2020 (Required).
WHMIS 2015 (Required).
Commercial Driver Training.
Standard First Aid.
