Job summary

Canada Cartage in Calgary area seeks a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to maintain our fleet at 135 High Plains Drive, Rocky View County, AB. This full-time, permanent role features an evening shift Monday to Thursday with competitive wages and shift premiums.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, complete repairs, conduct CVIP inspections, keep accurate records, mentor apprentices, and stay current with new

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or Licensed Truck Mechanic.
• CVIP Licence.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with heavy-duty truck maintenance.
• Must provide your own tools.
• SRT experience is considered an asset.
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
• Comfortable using computers for electronic timekeeping and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.

Earn$46.94 - $52.79/hour

Compensation

• Base Wage:$46.94/hour
• CVIP Premium:+$1.00/hour
• Afternoon Shift Premium:+$1.85/hour

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle components weighing up to 120 lbs.
• Comfortable working around shop noise, exhaust, vibrations, and chemicals.
