Job summary

Resorts Of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair ski resort equipment. A Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket and a minimum of 3 years in heavy-duty mechanics (preferably in ski operations) are required.

You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect components, calibrate systems, and collaborate with the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager. Candidates must lift heavy equipment, work flexible shifts including weekends and after hours for

Qualifications

• Must hold a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic's ticket.
• Minimum 3 years experience in heavy-duty mechanics, preferably ski industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Heavy Industrial Equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers).
• Experience with snow cats and snowmobiles is an asset.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance for equipment performance, safety and longevity.
• Dismantle components to inspect wear or damage.
• Repair, replace, clean and lubricate parts as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate vehicle electrical systems.
• Monitor hydraulic systems and calibrate/replace components as needed.
• Maintain records of work and report shop activities in CMMS.
• Assist in annual maintenance budgeting.
