Job summary

Calfrac-Well-Service in Grande Prairie, AB is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic – Apprentice to join the Maintenance Department. You will focus on diagnosing and repairing well servicing equipment, performing daily repairs and preventative maintenance in both shop and field settings.

Ideal candidates are working towards a Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright, or Automotive Certification and hold an unrestricted Class 5 license with a clean record; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Working towards Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification.
• Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repairs and preventative maintenance on Calfrac’s well servicing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in a timely and effective manner.
• Work in shop and field positions as required.

HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC - APPRENTICE- located in Grande Prairie, AB

Heavy Duty Mechanic – Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well servicing equipment. Heavy Duty Mechanic - Apprentice will focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment in a timely and effective manner.

SCHEDULE:

• Local:Eight (8) days on, six (6) days off

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Working towards completion of the Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification
• Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset
• Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Previous experience as a heavy duty mechanic, heavy duty mechanic-apprentice, apprentice, journeyperson, journeyperson heavy duty, automotive, millwright, is an asset.
