Job summary

Calfrac-Well-Service in Alberta is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the Maintenance Department. You will participate in daily repairs and preventative maintenance of our well servicing equipment, learning hands-on skills.

This apprenticeship emphasizes diagnosing and repairing equipment in a timely and effective manner, with shop and field assignments in Red Deer region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification.
• CVIP/DOT inspections certification would be considered an asset.
• Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s licence with satisfactory driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Member of the Maintenance Department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well servicing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in a timely and effective manner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Heavy Duty Mechanic – Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well servicing equipment. Heavy Duty Mechanic - Apprentice will focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment in a timely and effective manner.

SCHEDULE

Local: Eight (8) days on, six (6) days off

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Working towards completion of the Journeyperson Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification
• Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset
• Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s licence with satisfactory driver’s abstract
