Clean Harbors Edmonton AB is seeking a Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our safety‑driven team. You will assist in maintenance and repair of heavy handling units including tractors, trailers, and loaders, ensuring high safety standards and quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnostic work, and timely documentation, with a focus on safety and efficient repair cycles. A strong background in heavy equipment and a valid Class 5 license are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Vacuum Trucks experience is an asset; quoting jobs experience is a plus.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety and follow safe work practices.
• Secure equipment before work and use chock blocks/jack stands.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles/equipment.
• Inspect equipment and diagnose repairs; perform maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Clean Harbors Edmonton AB is looking for a Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! This individual will assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy handling units including, but not limited to tractors, trailers, and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs (i.e. Uses chock blocks and jack stands).
• Correct all equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance tasks on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for tracking Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Fill out and submit all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Previous experience quoting jobs preferred.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.
