Job Overview

Goudy transport is a thriving family owned company, operating primarily in the southeast Saskatchewan oilfield. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Stoughton. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in the repair and maintenance of various types of heavy machinery, live in/around Stoughton, willing to relocate or reliable commute. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, has excellent problem solving skills and excellent time management.

Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including Semi trucks, trailers, and other related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs to maintain equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used for each job.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

• Experience in inspection, diagnosis, repair and service of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Strong background in automotive repair or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with management and colleagues.
• Experience with fluid handling equipment such as tankers, pumps(T&E), etc is an asset.
• Class 1 license an asset.
