Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic (421A)

Number of Positions: 1

Location: Lloydminster, AB

Travel: On-site and in-field

Prairie AG Center is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Lloydminster location in Alberta.

Job Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.
  • Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts.
  • Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.
  • Complete work orders and enter technician notes into a computer.
  • Must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety standards, as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees.
  • Must be able to provide service at the customers' site by driving a service truck to the customers' location.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in the 421A Heavy duty Mechanic apprenticeship program with your Level 3.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy-duty and/or agricultural equipment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • A valid driver’s license with a reasonable abstract is required.
  • Forklift license preferred.
