Job description

Job Title: Heavy Duty Field Technician (Journeyman/Woman)

Park Paving, a locally owned and operated company with 50 years of experience as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, is seeking a dedicated Journeyman/Woman Heavy Duty Field Technician to join our team. The role involves heavy duty equipment service and repair, primarily based at our Maintenance Shop in Sherwood Park, AB.

This is a full-time permanent position offering competitive wages and benefits. The main duties include:

1. Coordinating with supervisors, administration, and workers to complete work orders efficiently
2. Working under limited supervision, leading and guiding others as needed
3. Completing paperwork such as work orders, hazard assessments, and repair lists
4. Testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and replacing parts and controls
5. Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance
6. Servicing heavy duty equipment in the field independently
7. Completing CVIP inspections (preferred but not mandatory)
8. Listing repairs needed during inspections and obtaining repair authorization
9. Filling out work orders upon job completion
10. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• CVIP license (preferred but not mandatory)
• Journeyman Mechanic certification (preferred)
• Trade Certificate (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a medical/fitness exam

Successful candidates will have strong operating knowledge of various heavy-duty equipment, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues effectively, maintaining a positive work environment.

Pay Scale: $43 - $46 per hour
