Qualifications

  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Journeyperson certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Welding ability a strong asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
  • Positive attitude and team orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty municipal equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain vacuum trucks, hydro-vac units, street sweepers, refuse and recycling trucks and other specialty vehicles.
  • Complete work orders accurately and maintain service documentation.
  • Collaborate with Service Writer, Parts Department and technicians to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and specialized municipal equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain vacuum trucks, hydro-vac units, street sweepers, refuse and recycling trucks, sewer inspection equipment, and other specialty vehicles.

Position Details

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Status: Permanent, Full-Time

Compensation Type: Hourly (overtime paid in accordance with applicable employment legislation)

Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs

Travel: 0–2%
