Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a reliable cleaner in Winnipeg to perform routine maintenance in commercial buildings, hotels, and restaurants. Duties include sweeping, mopping, window washing, basic repairs, safety checks, and tenant showings when needed.

Candidates should have a secondary school certificate and 1–2 years of related experience; WHMIS and First Aid are required. This permanent, full-time role offers varied shifts and parking support.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Advertise vacancy.
• Balance rent roll.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Perform safety and security checks.
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
• Supervise other workers.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
