Job summary

Con Site Construction Limited o/a ConSite Construction Ltd. is hiring a Concrete Finisher in Calgary, AB for seasonal, full-time work (30–60 hours per week). Duties include placing, finishing, and repairing concrete, with travel within the Calgary area supported by the employer. Relocation costs may be covered; benefits are included.

Candidates should have about 3 years of relevant experience, basic English, and be prepared for outdoor, physically demanding work with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience.
• Basic English language required.
• Seasonal, full-time with 30–60 hours per week.
• Based in Calgary, willingness to travel within the Calgary area.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, base, and reinforcement and direct concrete placement.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Set and adjust concrete forms to required dimensions.
• Level top surface concrete per grade and depth.
• Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply curing components to surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp-proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface, and replace damaged sections.
• Must participate and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

Job Location:

• Based in Calgary, AB, work in various locations in the Calgary area; transportation provided by the employer, travel expense paid by the employer if work is outside the city
• Employer covers relocation cost as per the company policy

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, full-time (30 to 60 hours per week, weather dependent), Early Morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime required

Wage: $33.33 – $37.00 /hour (based on skills and experience); salary increases based on performance, per company’s policy.

Duties:

• Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Set and adjust concrete forms to the required dimensions, levels, and grades
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Must participate and adhere to all safety rules and procedures
