Job summary

Morgan Construction & Environmental Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Civil Equipment Operator for project-based work across our heavy civil sites in Alberta.

You will operate graders, excavators, and dozers on earthmoving, road and pad construction, and reclamation tasks, while following safety rules and coordinating with supervisors and crew. Roles require minimum three years on heavy equipment, including 14M/24H graders, 336/470 excavators, and D6T/D8/D9/D10 dozers, plus willingness to travel and work

Qualifications

GRADERS: 3 years experience operating 14M or 24H graders on heavy civil earthworks.
EXCAVATORS: 3 years experience with 336/470 excavators on heavy civil projects.
DOZERS: 3 years experience with D6T/D8/D9/D10 dozers on heavy civil earthworks.
ALL OPERATORS: mining experience, ice road construction, knowledge of grade plans, able to finish/trim, outdoor remote work.

Responsibilities

Earth moving and grading, stripping overburden, stacking, and stockpiling.
Road building, pad building, reclamation, culvert installation.
Perform routine equipment inspections and ensure safety.
Operate 2-way radio and coordinate with site personnel.
Provide occasional labour tasks as required; assist ground staff.
Adhere to project specs, communicate with supervisors, and uphold safety procedures.
Perform JSA and FLHA’s as required; demonstrate sound judgment.
Collaborate with team and take ownership of tasks.
