Job summary

Morgan Construction & Environmental Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Heavy Civil to support planning and execution of multiple Canadian projects. The role involves coordinating with site teams, managing documents, and upholding safety and quality standards on demanding heavy civil sites across Canada.

Expect a rotation schedule (10/4), 12-hour shifts (days and nights), and travel within Canada when required. Lodging provided and pre-employment safety screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Recent experience on heavy civil earthworks, construction, road building or mining project sites preferred.
• Post-secondary technical training; civil construction industry experience is a strong asset.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office, MS Project, or similar software programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, management and execution of assigned projects (Time & Material, Unit Price, Lump Sum).
• Assist with performance measurement systems to meet client service and contract expectations.
• Assist with contract administration, including change orders, dispute resolution, and contract reviews.
• Collaborate with site superintendents and field supervisors to achieve project goals.
• Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards while closing gaps in risk reduction plans.
• Coordinate projects for maximum resource utilization and adherence to budget and schedule.
• Support quality processes including Requests for Information.
