Job summary

University or college education is preferred; a high school diploma is required. Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software, plus experience in logistics and customer service, are assets in this casual, on-call role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office programs, Outlook, faxing software, and database management.
• Experience in a logistics or scheduling environment is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
• Experience in a unionized environment is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Assign visits to nurses and home support workers based on local geography and client needs, ensuring continuity of care.
• Manage daily tasks including receipts of client referrals and updates, and respond to phone inquiries from clients and doctors.
• Handle scheduling by managing advanced plans and daily adjustments due to sick calls, cancellations, and new admissions; perform admin duties.
• Forecast staffing needs for the week and ensure adequate staffing levels with management.
• Support clients, nurses, and home support workers to ensure high-quality care.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Protect confidential information about clients and operations.
