Job summary

The Salvation Army's Agapé Hospice in Calgary seeks a Maintenance Worker II to provide engineering and maintenance duties for a health care facility. You will plan, schedule, and perform repairs across boilers, pumps, piping, HVAC, electrical and fire protection systems.

Requires Building Operator A or B and/or 5th Class Power Engineering, 3–5 years in commercial/healthcare facility ops, valid driver’s license, WHMIS, and ability to work with minimal supervision.Weekend coverage and safety

Qualifications

• Completion of Building Operator A or B and/or 5th Class Power Engineering program.
• Vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance; WHMIS certification.
• 3–5 years of operation/maintenance experience in commercial or health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and perform skilled maintenance/repairs on plant machinery and systems.
• Coordinate and supervise repair activities; act as building Fire Marshall on scheduled shifts.
• Perform grounds keeping and maintain aesthetic appearance of the building and grounds.
• Record and maintain files on equipment and assist with inventory and expenses.
