Job summary

The Winnipeg Health Region is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker for Meadowood Manor on a full-time term basis. You will support the Maintenance team under the Lead or Support Services Manager, handling preventative maintenance, repairs, and small projects across PCH/EPH sites.

Expect day shifts, 7.75 hours per day, and 1.0 EFT. You will ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for residents and staff, with strong emphasis on PHIA compliance and on-site safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; reads/writes English at Grade 12 level.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Criminal record check and Adult Abuse Registry up to date.
• Computer literacy and ability to read instructions.
• Very good interpersonal and professional demeanor.
• Physically capable of job demands and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance on building and equipment.
• Communicates progress of tasks to Maintenance Lead or Manager.
• Works on projects at PCH or EPH, following safety policies.
• Completes daily maintenance checklist and logs work.
• Coordinates with contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Participates in on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage.
