Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Casual/Relief Environmental Services staff to clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, restocking supplies, bed making, and operating industrial cleaning equipment.

You will identify hazards, report to the Working Leader, and may train Environmental or Laundry staff. The role requires Grade 10, physical stamina, and WHMIS knowledge; shifts include days,

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, restock bathroom supplies, strip linen, and make beds.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration.
• Identify hazards and report to supervisor; may train other staff.
