Aston Carter is seeking a Billing Analyst for a hybrid contract position in Toronto, ON. You will support the full billing and accounts receivable cycle, review billing documents, and interact with patients, insurers, and internal teams to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.

You will use EPIC and Excel to analyze data, resolve discrepancies, and implement process improvements while maintaining a strong focus on detail and customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing and accounts receivable, including aging reports and collections.
• Proficient in resolving billing inquiries and supporting collections activities.
• Strong customer service skills with patients and insurance companies.
• Excellent attention to detail in billing and account documentation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, print, and organize billing documents accurately and on time.
• Review and process patient and insurance accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies, billing issues, and items requiring follow-up or correction.
• Follow up with insurance companies to resolve billing questions, denials, and outstanding claims.
• Communicate professionally with patients and insurance companies to address billing inquiries and account issues.
• Handle conversations about outstanding balances and collections in a respectful, solution-focused way.
• Perform collections activities including contacting patients about overdue accounts and arranging payment plans.
• Monitor accounts receivable and aging reports to reduce overdue balances.
• Enter and update billing data into billing systems and spreadsheets.
• Use Excel to run reports and apply formulas like VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP to analyze data.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing operations and systems.
• Provide high-quality customer service to patients, insurance representatives, and internal stakeholders.
