Amico Major Projects Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our diversified construction team focused on highways, railways, airports, and large-scale projects.

You will lead safety programs, audits, and compliance across sites, guiding teams to maintain a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in health and safety management in heavy civil construction, and CRSP or CHSC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as Health & Safety Manager in heavy civil construction.
  • CRSP or CHSC certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Canadian safety regulations and promoting an inclusive work environment.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and site inspections.
  • Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Job Description

Amico is a diversified and dynamic, Canadian owned and operated construction company.   • CanadianRegisteredSafetyprofessional (CRSP), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Must be well-versed in Canadian safety regulations and committed to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable with occupational health and safety legislation in Canada.
  • Experienced in conducting safety audits and site inspections.
  • Must be confident in leading incident investigations and following through on improvements.
