Job summary

Amico is a Canadian-owned construction company delivering major infrastructure projects across Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead site safety programs for heavy civil construction.

You will guide teams, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations, promoting a safety-first culture across all sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager, supporting heavy civil construction projects.
• CRSP/CHSC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Well-versed in Canadian safety regulations and committed to a safe/inclusive environment.
• Knowledgeable about occupational health and safety legislation in Canada.
• Experienced in safety audits and site inspections.
• Confident in leading incident investigations and implementing improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager, supporting heavy civil construction projects.
• Canadian Registered Safety professional (CRSP), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Must be well-versed in Canadian safety regulations and committed to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
• Must be highly knowledgeable with occupational health and safety legislation in Canada.
• Experienced in conducting safety audits and site inspections.
• Must be confident in leading incident investigations and following through on improvements.
