The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental professional who wants to have a meaningful impact within a global manufacturing organization.
Our client requires a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator who can do more than administer policies and maintain documentation. This individual will be highly visible within the operation, working directly with employees, supervisors, management, Engineering and Maintenance to identify risk, improve programs and help build an increasingly proactive safety culture.
The position offers a meaningful degree of autonomy and ownership. The successful candidate will be trusted to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, take initiative and move priorities forward without requiring constant direction. Like any broad HSE mandate within a busy manufacturing environment, there will be challenges to work through; however, those challenges also create considerable opportunity for the right person to influence improvements, take ownership of the function and truly make the role their own.
The scope is broad, encompassing occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, WSIB and return-to-work programs, employee training, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, regulatory reporting and continuous improvement.
For someone with strong Ontario manufacturing experience, natural drive and a practical approach to problem-solving, this position offers the opportunity to combine regulatory expertise with hands‑on involvement and make a visible contribution across the organization.
