South Country Co-op is recruiting a Health & Safety Coordinator on a full-time basis, within our Business Support Centre in Medicine Hat. The successful incumbent will be resourceful, resilient, detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, the Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and support to Team Members and Team Leaders on Health, Safety & Environment issues for South Country Co-op Limited and ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have 1-3 years’ experience in safety and environment administration; a Health & Safety Administration Certificate would be an asset. This role requires knowledge of Provincial and Federal Legislation. Previous experience as an Environmental Reclamation Technician or a Certified Environmental Professional (EP) designation would be an asset; Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) is preferred.
