Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator for our Edmonton site. You will lead site safety orientation, monitor compliance, and address hazards to prevent incidents.

You will organize safety training (WHMIS, Fall Protection, PPE, CPR/First Aid) and foster a culture of safety. Collaboration with subs and ongoing safety documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• Hold or be pursuing the NCSO designation and knowledge of OHS regulations.

Job description

You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator will:

• Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them

• Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid

• Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture

• Review subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals.

• Review and file subcontractors’ weekly safety documentation.

• Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
