We’re looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to take the lead in supporting a strong safety culture across all our operations.
As our go-to safety expert, you’ll work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and company leadership to drive our Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) performance. You’ll oversee safety policies, training, compliance, and day-to-day health and safety needs—ensuring every site and worker is protected.

Compensation
- $30 to $36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and continually improve the company’s HSE program, including COR certification compliance.
- Lead new worker orientations and coordinate safety training programs (WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, etc.).
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, ensuring full compliance with WorkSafeBC and internal documentation standards.
- Champion JOHSC initiatives: organize meetings, track minutes, and maintain committee records.
- Develop and implement customized site-specific safety plans.
- Monitor and report on key metrics, including Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF).
- Keep all safety records up to date: SDS, incident reports, training logs, and more.
- Ensure safety signage, emergency equipment, and first aid systems are current and functional.
- Serve as the point of contact for all health and safety concerns across the company.
- Support our return-to-work program and liaise with WorkSafeBC as needed.
- Stay current on evolving legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Provide occasional admin support to Superintendents and Project Managers.
What You Bring
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education is a plus.
- Occupational Health & Safety certification (or willingness to obtain it).
- 2–4 years of experience in a similar safety-focused role.
- Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and COR standards.
- Advanced First Aid certification and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is an asset.
- Experience with digital safety platforms like SiteDocs or SafetySync is a big plus.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
