Job summary

Niagara Region is seeking a Comprehensive Health Promoter to advance population health and health equity. The role translates local data into coordinated, evidence-informed actions and leads health promotion programs across diverse life stages.

Collaborations with community partners drive inclusive, culturally safe initiatives aligned with Ontario standards. The position reports to the Manager Health Promotion and contributes to policy informatics, capacity-building, and coalition development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Health Sciences with a focus on Health Promotion.
• Master’s degree in public health, Health Sciences, or Community Health with a focus on Health Promotion is preferred.
• Two to three years of related work experience in community-based health promotion or a public health environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-informed approaches and health equity principles.

Responsibilities

• Translate local data, research, and community insight into coordinated, evidence-informed action.
• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs across the life course.
• Collaborate with intersectoral partners to co-design inclusive and culturally safe initiatives.
