Job summary

The Youth Programming Development Coordinator reports to the Supervisor of Mental Health and Addictions and is responsible to assure that SHA health delivery/promotion programs take into account the needs of youth and appropriately address those needs.

Job Description: The Youth Programming Development Coordinator reports to the Supervisor of Mental Health and Addictions and is responsible to assure that SHA health delivery/promotion programs take into account the needs of youth and appropriately address those needs. Through a process of consultation and collaboration with Mental Health and Addictions personnel, youth, other agencies, and community leaders, the Youth Programming Development Coordinator will monitor what programs are serving youth, how best to target youth with these programs, and the effectiveness of these programs in addressing the needs of youth as seen by the youth themselves as well as by others in the community. Serving as a healthy role model, contact person, and mentor, the Youth Programming Development Coordinator serves as liaison between SHA and youth within our geographical area. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
