Job summary

Gorge Road Hospital in Victoria, BC is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support hygiene, comfort, and daily living activities while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will document care and communicate changes to the care team as part of a collaborative health-care environment in a busy, multi-site facility.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program such as a Health Aide program or equivalent.
• Registered with the BC Care Aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and hygiene under supervision.
• Support routine nursing procedures as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Document care provided and report changes to the care team.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful and comfortable environment.

Job Description

Reporting to the Nurse Manager or designate and under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, conducts personal care and nursing procedures to meet the comfort, hygiene and therapeutic needs of the patient/resident according to established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience
