Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker is part of the home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to perform personal care services tailored to the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene
• Meal preparation
• Accompanying clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication assistance and reminders
• Ambulation and transportation of clients
• Providing companionship
• Following care plans
• Documentation and charting

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (including foreign-trained nurses or nursing students)
• Current CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Ability to travel within the service area
