Job Summary

The Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Medication Assist/ Reminders
• Ambulation
• Provide companionship to clients
• Ability to follow care-plan
• Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Ability to travel around location territory.
• Up to date COVID, Flu Shots, Vaccinations.
• Access to Internet/mobile phone.
