Job summary

Classic LifeCare in Calgary is seeking a compassionate Registered Health Care Aide (RHCA) to support pediatric clients in their homes. This casual position offers flexible shifts in Calgary, AB, with training and ongoing education provided.

Ideal candidates have pediatric experience, Alberta RHCA registration, CPR, a clean vulnerable sector check, TB screening, and a valid driver’s license. You will assist with personal care, medications, tube feeding, and school or community assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Registration with College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta.
• Ability to complete basic documentation via smartphone.
• Positive and friendly attitude with a passion for helping others.
• Valid CPR certificate.
• Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector clearance.
• Latest TB screening test result.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (asset).
• Located near or in Calgary.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care for infants and children.
• Administering medications as required.
• Providing support with tube feeding.
• Performing tracheostomy care.
• Offering respite care to provide relief and support for the client's family.
• Assignments in schools, community, and home care may be involved.
• Willing to cover shifts anywhere in Calgary.
