Job summary

Classic LifeCare is seeking compassionate Registered Health Care Aides (RHCAs) to care for pediatric clients in home settings. The role emphasizes infants and children, including medications administration and specialized care such as tracheostomy support.

Ideal candidates hold Alberta HCA registration, CPR certification, and a clean criminal record. You may be assigned to Calgary areas or nearby towns, with flexible shifts and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Registration with Alberta HCA directory is required.
• CPR certificate is required.
• Clear criminal record check is required.
• TB Screening test result is required.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Able to complete basic documentation via smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care for infants and children.
• Administer medications as required.
• Provide support with tube feeding.
• Perform tracheostomy care.
• Offer respite care to provide relief for the client’s family.
• Willing to be assigned to shifts anywhere in Calgary, including schools and community/home care.
• Willing to travel to Town of Vulcan area as needed.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Valid registration with the Alberta HCA directory.
• Ability to complete basic documentation via smartphone.
• Positive and friendly attitude, with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Valid CPR certificate.
• Clear criminal record check (required).
• Latest TB Screening test result
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (an asset).
• Located near or in Calgary.

As a RHCA with Classic LifeCare, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
