Willoughby Manor Retirement Residence in Niagara Falls, ON is seeking a Health Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities and personal care.

The role offers casual shifts with a starting wage of $19.08 per hour. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred though not mandatory. PSW completion is required. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, resident-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to the care plan.
• Monitor residents’ well-being and report changes to the Health and Wellness Manager or designate and respond to medical emergencies.
• Provide general housekeeping, laundry, and recreational activities.
• Thoroughly document Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Ensure the health and safety of all individuals within the home by following procedures and protocols.
• Interact courteously with team members, residents, residents’ families, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information including medication.
• Provide emergency first aid/care until appropriate medical care is available.
• Demonstrate spontaneity and a positive attitude in interactions.
• Present a positive approach and respectful language and actions.
• Assist with dining service.
• Assist with resident admissions and discharges when required.
• Complete medication administration training and assist with administration of medication.

The Health Care Aide reports to the Health and Wellness Manager or designate and provides residents with physical and personal care needs to a high-quality standard and with sensitivity. Additionally, the Health Care Aide demonstrates commitment to resident safety by providing high-quality care in accordance with the organization's vision and mission.

We are hiring employees to work on a casual basis to help us fulfil our scheduling needs and fill vacant shifts as they arise. We are offering flexible hours.
