The Office HCA - Recruiter and Scheduler plays a vital role in supporting the Home Instead team. This position focuses on recruiting, hiring, onboarding new HCAs, and managing and scheduling caregiver shifts to ensure consistent, quality care for clients. If you’re an HCA looking to transition to an office role with a focus on recruiting and scheduling, this is an ideal opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Conduct interviews and evaluate potential candidates for caregiver roles.
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding processes, including orientation and initial training.
  • Support new caregivers by ensuring they have the necessary certifications, training, and resources.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Manage and maintain schedules to ensure all client needs are covered effectively.
  • Coordinate caregiver availability and match shifts with client needs.
  • Address schedule changes, cancellations, and last-minute coverage adjustments.
Caregiver Support
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for HCAs, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Track and manage certification renewals, including First Aid, CPR, and HCA qualifications.
  • Assist with caregiver performance evaluations and support growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • HCA Certification and experience as a Health Care Aide (in-office experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain).
  • Knowledge of scheduling software or CRM systems (an asset).
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check.
