Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking a Health and Wellness Nurse to provide clinical services to students and staff at the Health, Safety & Wellness Centre. The role involves health education, emergency response, and maintaining health records, focusing on a proactive health and wellness approach. Candidates should possess relevant nursing qualifications and experience in Occupational Health.
Reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety & Wellness, the Health and Wellness Nurse is responsible for providing clinical nursing services to students, faculty, staff, contractors and visitors in the Health, Safety & Wellness Centre ( HSWC ) on a walk-in or appointment basis.
The Health and Wellness Nurse will disseminate health services information and provide both assistance and educational resources regarding individual health needs; maintain a variety of health records; determine health education / promotion needs and develop action plans; and perform other related duties as assigned.
In collaboration with other members of the Health, Safety & Wellness team, the Health and Wellness Nurse will champion the health, safety and wellness of all students and employees.

Services include initial nursing assessment, treatment, referrals, follow-up, may assist with the administration of medication, wound care management, sutural removal, first aid for eyes, skin, sprains, strains, burns, etc.
