Job summary

Marwood International invites applications for an HSE & Training Coordinator. This onsite role supports our Tillsonburg and Woodstock/Ingersoll plants with day shifts.

You will assist in implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 procedures, develop training materials, perform incident investigations, and participate in safety programs to maintain compliance and promote worker wellbeing across Canada facilities.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree related to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
  • 1–3 years working in the health and safety field, preferably manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in improving and developing management system procedures and forms (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Create training materials for new procedures.
  • Participate in reports, statistics and data analysis.
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain site records and filing systems.
  • Support Joint Health and Safety Committees and safety audits.
  • Coordinate meetings (agendas, minutes, actions).
  • Assist with WSIB claims management and return-to-work planning.

Location: Tillsonburg or Woodstock/Ingersoll - Onsite

Shift: Days - (Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm)

Pay: Starting Rate: $29.58 - Top Rate $32.84

Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the improvement & development of management system procedures and forms, in line with applicable standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Create training materials in support of new procedures
  • Participate in the development of reports, statistics and data analysis
  • Perform incident Investigations, and implement corrective actions
  • Participates in the maintenance of site records and filing systems
  • Performs Physical Demands Descriptions
  • Participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committees
  • Coordinate meetings (prepare agendas, take minutes, track actions)
  • Participate in safety audits
  • Assist in performing industrial hygiene testing
  • Assist with WSIB claims management and return to work planning

Key Requirements:
  • University or college degree related to Occupational Health and Safety
  • 1-3 years working in the health and safety field, preferably manufacturing environment
Additional Technical and Professional Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork and demonstrated presentations skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of ergonomic principles and ability to apply principles in a wide range of work environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WSIB Regulations
  • Experience in industrial ergonomic assessments
  • Experience conducting Physical Demands Analysis (PDAs)
  • Access to a vehicle to travel to all Marwood plants
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem solving abilities
