Zusammenfassung

Englobe is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to strengthen our safety culture across Atlantic Canada. You will lead site inspections, risk assessments, and training, working with project teams and leadership to implement best practices.

The role requires a field presence, strong judgment, and the ability to build relationships. Travel across Atlantic Canada and bilingual English/French are assets in this dynamic position.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive health and safety exp in related industries.
  • Professional designation (CRSP/CHST/CHSC/NCSO) is an asset.
  • Experience supporting field operations and leadership teams in multi-site environments.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Experience conducting investigations, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain health and safety management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

  • Maintain a visible presence on project sites and locations across Atlantic Canada.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and verify compliance.
  • Coach teams on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to leaders to prioritize risks and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver safety programs, trainings, and toolbox talks.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Analyze safety indicators and audit findings to identify trends.
  • Coordinate COR certification activities and related initiatives.
  • Travel regularly throughout Atlantic Canada as required.

Your Main Responsibilities

At Englobe, our health and safety culture is built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, clients, contractors, and communities. Working closely with project teams and operational leaders throughout Atlantic Canada, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping identify and manage risk while supporting successful project delivery. This role requires a strong field presence, sound judgment, and the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Maintain a visible presence on project sites, laboratories, and operational locations throughout Atlantic Canada;
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, observations, and risk assessments to identify hazards and verify compliance with safety requirements;
  • Coach employees, supervisors, and project teams on hazard recognition, risk management, and safe work practices;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping prioritize health and safety risks and improvement initiatives across the region;
  • Develop an understanding of Englobe's operations, project delivery models, and business objectives to help ensure health and safety programs support operational success;
  • Promote and foster a positive, proactive safety culture through engagement, education, and leadership;
  • Provide practical health and safety guidance to support operational objectives and successful project delivery;
  • Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions;
  • Analyze leading and lagging safety indicators, incident data, and audit findings to identify trends and improvement opportunities;
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety programs, procedures, and initiatives;
  • Coordinate and participate in COR certification activities, JOHSC programs, regulatory compliance audits, and related initiatives;
  • Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, toolbox talks, presentations, and awareness programs.
What Makes You Unique
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field;
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive health and safety experience in consulting engineering, environmental services, construction, industrial services, laboratory operations, or a related industry;
  • Professional designation such as CRSP, CRST, CHSC, NCSO, or equivalent is considered an asset;
  • Experience supporting both field operations and leadership teams in complex, multi-site environments;
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
  • Experience conducting investigations, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and corrective action management;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain health and safety management systems and programs;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with field personnel, project teams, clients, and senior leadership.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout Atlantic Canada;
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
