MoD is seeking a strategic, creative, and hands-on Head of Social Media to lead social media strategy and execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to build and manage engaged digital communities, and brings fresh ideas to the table. This role combines big picture thinking with day-to-day execution. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth, brand awareness, and community engagement across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead an end-to-end social media strategy that aligns with the company’s brand and business objectives
• Own the content calendar across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more
• Create engaging, platform-specific content in collaboration with designers, copywriters, and other stakeholders
• Manage community interactions—responding to comments and DMs, fostering loyalty, and maintaining brand voice
• Monitor performance analytics (engagement, growth, reach, conversions, etc.), provide regular insights, and optimize content strategies accordingly
• Stay up-to-date on platform updates, emerging trends, and new features to keep the brand ahead of the curve
• Coordinate and execute social campaigns for new product launches, events, and brand moments
• Mentor and lead support team members and/or external vendors, freelancers, or agencies
Must Haves:
• Proven experience managing social media strategy and content for consumer-facing brands
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership or senior social role
• Strong understanding of the unique audiences and best practices for each major platform
• Demonstrated success in growing and engaging online communities through creative content
• Proficiency in social analytics and reporting tools
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
• Highly organized with strong project management skills
• Bonus: Experience in brand marketing, basic design, video editing, or motion graphics
