Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Sales for Veterinary to own the largest multi-location deals from initial discovery to signed contracts. You will target veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices, guiding complex negotiations across owners, regional operators, and marketing leaders.

The role is fully remote (US or Canada) with a $2M annual quota. You will close high-value partnerships that cover multiple locations and expand services within groups.

Qualifications

• Track record of closing $1M+ annual deals with multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with several decision makers.
• Prefer closing business over managing people.

Responsibilities

• Own full sales cycle: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close (3–12 months).
• Negotiate with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders.
• Drive expansion to more locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to build proposals for key deals.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location veterinary accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices. As Head of Sales for Veterinary, you own our largest multi-location veterinary deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: veterinary groups with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into veterinary groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
